Sup yall, first off a huge thanks to those that have made it to this awesome venue and event. Thanks to the mayor, Mr. Jerry, Kevin M. and the track support group that do an awesome job facilitating the race.:clp: and of course Ron Obama Hicks. It is already shaping up to be one to remember, and I'm going to attempt to recall some impressive runs off the top of the old dome from today's practice. Greg Bentley is already on record e.t. and mph pace in Electric pro stock with a 1.53 @ 92.7 mph. That's just what we come to expect from him. Having the nitro top fuel mph record, Mark Rollings off the trailer blasts a 1.49 " twice" . He seems to be looking to challenge for the 1.488 e.t record belonging to Ken Lupi. Meanwhile Ken isn't just sitting by and twiddling his thumbs he has made a few 98 mph passes in the very low .5's! Electric top fuel is hotly contested with tons of .4 passes from the usuals, Jim S, Mike S, Stan H, Josh S, Will J, Greg B, Corey Mc, and more! Huge appreciation to Nitro P/m Funny class which continues to be the most popular class with so many continually showing up each and every race. These guys compete hard and know how to talk trash. :gsp: I think I can just sit and listen to the smack all weekend...lol Thus far Stan Harrington has run fastest of the event with a 1.38 et. He's isn't having any sophmore blues. If ya don't know, this guy is pretty talented. I'll try and take notes tomorrow and have more times to report.. Not much sleep on the 13 hour ride up so not much grey matter still awake at the moment.. Stil time to get here, pack up the wife and kids and come on out and join us. What ya got better to do? :dntkw: Stay tuned!

Practice today was interesting and again 3 cheers to everyone at the event. It's well known that lynwood is a fast track if not the fastest track in our race schedule. So it's no surprise that on day 2 of the Midwest nats, more and more guys are running closer to record et's and mph's. Well it's true, Greg Bentley has put down a 1.49 @96 mph in 2 cell electric pro stock. That's 11 inches of squirm being masterfully piloted 132 feet like never before, but as in Allen Iverson's famous quote "we talking about practice?". It's practice but I am confident Greg can repeat his performance in qualies and elims. Roy Anderson of RAE lays down a 1.53 1st round qualifying pass in E-pro stock allowing him the opportunity to back that up either tommorow or sunday and rewrite the record books. Brandon Preston , Crowned Prince of nitro pro stock, on his first pass makes it very clear that it doesn't matter where he is he's gonna lay it down. How bout a 1.81 fresh from the freeway? Nitro top fuel saw Cali's Mark Rollings pound out a 1.47 et while team mate and lynwood's own Ken Lupi lays down 3 straight 1.50's and a 1.49 like a machine during practice. Stan Harrington continues to set the track on fire, Oh and his funny car. E- top fuel is now in the 3's but it doesn't look like that's where everyone intends to stay. Jim Schauer, aka Rainman, aka Santa Claus, aka see if you can match my 1.31, is on his way to a 1.2 e.t. Extreme is exactly as advertised and these speed freaks are flying. Tony Rudis, 1.14, Jim Schauer 1.15, , Troy Smith, Josh Wood all running fast enough to need flux capacitors and Micheal J. Fox. So what's next? Who's next to take their class to the next level? Well if anyone has been holding back, they'll surely show their hands in qualifying. Almost forgot to report that King Hank Cork of quarterscalelandia lined them all up and shot them all down in the q-scale shoot out lining his pocket with a lil of the green stuff for his efforts. Hank runs fast and straight and if his car was the only one you saw make a pass , you'd think this was easy. Tommorow will bring us 2 more shoot outs in nitro pm funny and electric top fuel thanks to Riverdale Body Shops. I'll try and get a couple pics to post and more of the action.

I think we are chopped liver, but I'll fill you in. THE SHACK IS BACK, We qualified one round on Friday night which is awesome, I say it should be a regular, but anyway, the number 1 man was guess who at 1.63 nobody close. Sat. Mr TU_TU SLow tryed but only came up with 1.66 against my 1.65 on Sat. Melvin was having a hard time making it down the track, (he had a day like we've all had at sometime) but Sunday is a new day and anything can happen on any given Sunday. I wish you an the Spank man could of made it, I even miss Musa (nobody to hold up the show) but tell Spanky I'm gunning for him in Virgina, I know how to roll again, and if I left anybody out, sorry I didn't know I would be reporting Pro Mod/ Funny Car. Fastman
