Attention Drive Shaft Car Racers.

The IMDRA has implemented a Drive Shaft Cover for all Drive Shaft driven cars.

This rule has been put in place and made MANDATORY for the 2009 season.

The Drive Shaft Cover must be made of no less than .030 thick lexan and must cover at least 75% of the drive shaft. Must be attached with screws.

I have attached an example of a Drive Shaft Cover.

Could you make this optional for full bodied cars?

Sunny H, you took the words right out of my mouth..... You guys never sease to amaze me with the TLC and time that you display in your cars. I want to try my hand at building my own but the thought of it sitting next to a work of art as such stops my dead in my tracks. Until that day comes, I will continue to run on the proven ideas of what others have to offer. In other words, nice cars!!! :02:

I would just like to know how many of these things popping out do they have on record? I think it is going overboard a bit. What about the belt drive cars? You will break 100 belts before you ever think of breaking a shaft. Sounds like something our Federal government would do. Just my 2 cents.

By the looks of Jim's you would be hard pressed to find a piece of Lexen short enough to cover it, :D then try to put a screw through it to hold in place.
